Firm News: Trademark opposition

We are assisting our client, an important Swiss manufacturer of beauty and skin-care medical products, in defending the exclusive rights over their core brand, registered in multiple worldwide jurisdictions.

Two similar trademarks have been identified in Japan, an important territory for our client’s business. Prior to repeated unsuccessful attempts to amicably solve the case, we have opposed the respective applications and we are currently working in presenting in front of the Japanese IPO strong evidence of our client’s intense business activity in Japan during the last years.

The opposition files are still pending, and our Trademark department is doing its best to defend our Client’s prior rights over their brand name obtained through intense efforts expressed through considerable financial investments and a very strong intellectual property trademarks portfolio.
